Thank you for spending some of your precious time learning about our ministry to men and women behind bars, as well as to their families and to individuals returning from incarceration.

The Bible declares in 2 Corinthians 5:18-“Just as God has reconciled us to himself through Christ Jesus, He has given us the ministry of reconciliation.” Criminals need to also be reconciled to Christ. Therefore, the Church (us) must go and minister to them. In ministering to them, we also minister to Jesus. For, He tells us in Matthew 25:40- “…in as much as you did it (minister) to one of the least of these (prisoners), you did it unto me.”

Our purpose is to lead men, women, boys, and girls behind bars (and their families) to our wonderful loving Lord, so that He can soften their hearts (through the power of the Holy Spirit) and transform them from criminals to Christians. To effect this transformation, we conduct worship services and group Bible Study Sessions. We also have a Pen Pal Program and Bible Correspondence School. Our ultimate desire is to see them saved in God’s Kingdom.

These are the facilities we minister to:

  • Caroline Correctional Unit #2 (Friday evenings / 1st & 3rd Sundays mornings)
  • Deep Meadow Correctional Center (Saturday evenings)
  • James River Work Center (Saturday evenings)

  • Virginia Correctional Center for Women (Sunday afternoons)

We need more Prison Missionaries and Pen Pals; as well as persons to minister to the families. If you want to know more, please contact Daniel at or (804) 495-5503.
